OLDIES BUT GOLDIES: 2014 FAVORITES- PART 2

Continui seria produselor preferate din 2014 pe partea de make up. Mi-a fost extrem de greu sa le aleg, deoarece asa cum stiti, machiajul e pasiunea mea, dar privind poturile consumate si aproape goale, ele sunt cele mai indragite si folosite.

I’ll continue with the favorites serie for 2014, this time in make up. It was extremely hard to choose because as you know I’m a beauty addict, but these were the most used ones. 

Fondul de ten Teint Idole Ultra 24H de la Lancome. Am aflat prima data de el de la Alina Filipescu si m-am hotarat sa-i dau o sansa, adica sa-l incerc. E oil free si rezistent la transfer, perfect pentru tenul mixt si gras. Ceea ce imi place enorm de mult la el spre diferenta de alte fonduri de ten rezistente, este finish-ul lui natural si textura usoara. Chiar daca e pe baza de apa, nu e complet mat, dar nu e nici dewy, adica nu are acel finish cremos care in scurt timp duce la luciul tenului. Daca ar fi sa il incadrez, l-as plasa in categoria finish satinat si natural, rezistent la purtare, cu acoperire medie. Se intinde cu usurinta, fara sa fie pastos si are nevoie de cateva minute ca ss se usuce. E fondul meu de ten preferat. 😀

Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation from Lancome. I heard for the first time about it from Alina Filipescu and I decided to give it a try. It’s oil free and transfer resistant, perfect for combination to oily skin. What I trully love it’s the satin, natural finish and the light texture. Even if it’s water based and transfer resistant, it’s not completely matte, it doesn’t dry the skin, but it’s not dewy. It doesn’t have that creamy finish that it’s going to make the skin look greasy in a few hours. It’s easy to blend, without looking like a mask and needs a few minutes to set, my favorite foundation! 😀

Daca tot sunt la capitolul fond de ten, pensula duo-fibre Stipple brush de la E.L.F e modul perfect de a-l aplica. O am de aproximativ 3 ani si o spal continuu, tot asa a ramas, fara sa piarda nici macar un fir de par. Cred ca e cea mai buna achizitie pe care am facut-o vreodata, avand in vedere ca e in jur de 5 € una. Mi-am luat si una de la Mac, putin mai deasa si binenteles extrem de scumpa, care pierde par non stop si ma duce in pragul disperarii de fiecare data cand cea de la ELF e murdara sau am spalat-o si nu s-a uscat de tot! Acestea fiind marturisite, aveti dovada clara ca nu tot ce e scump si de la un brand renumit, e si fantastic. 😀

The duo-fibre brush from E.L.F it’s a perfect way to apply foundation. I have it since 3 years now, I continue washing it without loosing any hair. I think it’s one of the best deals ever, considering it costs about 5€. Of course, I bought a thicker one from MAC, so expensive, that looses lot of hair and gets me desperate every single time I wash the other one. Well, I confesed and now it’s clearly that not all the expensive stuffs are fantastic. 😀

Corectorul sau corectoarele…..sunt pe un platou de argint la mine, adica esentiale! Pot renunta la multe, chiar si la fond de ten, dar nu la corector! Am terminat deja un tubulet, iar cel din poze e aproape gata si el. Instant Anti- Age de la Maybelline e foarte bun. Nu e corectorul pastos, care acopera cearcanele profunde. Are o textura usoara, aerata, ca si o spuma, ascunde petele si ilumineaza. Folosit pe zona de sub ochi, da un aspect odihnit, ca si dupa o noapte de somn. Folosit in zona nasului, ascunde roseata. In zilele in care tenul meu arata destul de bine, evit fondul de ten folosind doar acest corector pentru a ilumina si uniforma zonele de umbra ale fetei.

Concealer or correctors….are on a silver jar, I mean essentials. I could give up on lot of stuff, even foundation, but not concealer. I already finished one and the one in pictures it’s almost finished. Instant Anti- Age from Maybelline is amazing. It’s not pasty and doesn’t cover extremely deep dark circles. With a light texture, aerated, like a mouse, it hides blemishes and illuminates. Used under eyes, gives a rested appearance, like after a night of well sleeping. It also hides the redness around the nose. During days when my skin looks quite good, I avoid applying foundation, using just this concealer to highlight and uniform the shadow areas of the face. 

Pudra compacta BLOT POWDER de la MAC e nelipsita din geanta mea. Daca cautati o pudra matifianta, pentru controlul luciul din zona T si pentru retusuri pe timpul zilei, cereti fetelor de la MAC sa o testeze pe tenul vostru. E foarte fina si nu incarca, avand si un buretel, deci nu e neaparat sa luati o pensula pentru retus cu voi.

Compact Blot Powder from Mac can not miss from my bag. If you’re searching a mattifiyng powder, shine control on T zone and for touching up during the day, ask a girl from MAC to prove it on your skin. Very lightweight and not cakey at all, it has a little sponge too, so you’re not constrained to take a brush too with you. 

Si daca tot am vorbit despre fond de ten, corector si pudra, un ultim produs pentru ten, dar foarte folosit si indragit e pudra bronzanta Terracotta 4 Seasons de la Guerlain. Pudra bronzanta folosita moderat, confera contur si o forma sculptata ovalului fetei printr-un joc optic de volum. Statisticile spun ca la fiecare 10 minute in lume se vinde o pudra bronzanta Guerlain. Ceea ce o diferentiaza de alte pudre bronzante sunt particulele ei extrem de fine. E impalpabila si totusi atat de pigmentata. Are 4 culori, care pot fi amestecate pentru a obtine nuante de bronz mai aramii sau mai putin intense, in functie de sezon. Cel mai mult le-am folosit pe cele doua mai deschise, unde am ajuns si sa ating fundul cutiei. M-am asteptat ca in momentul in care ajung la metal, produsul sa inceapa sa se faramiteze, sa se sparga, tipic pudrelor, si sa nu mai pot sa o port in geanta…nici vorba! Continui sa o folosesc, fara nici un fel de probleme. E de departe, cel mai bun si mai fin bronzer pe care l-am folosit vreodata. Desi e scump, isi merita banii, il folosesc de 2 ani! 😉

And if I wrote about foundation, concealer and powder, a last skin product, but used and loved a lot, is the 4 Season Terracotta Bronzer from Guerlain. The moderate use of a bronzing powder gives contour and a sculpted face through an optic game of volumes. Stats prove that every 10 minutes somewhere in the world is sold a Guerlain bronzer. What differentiates this from other similar products is the fine texture. It’s impalpable, but so pigmented, with 4 colors that can be mixed to get lighter or deeper bronzing shades, depending on season. I used mostly the lightest two ones, where I touched the bottom surface. I thought once getting to the metal surface, it will start broking and crumbling, specific to most of the powders, but I was surprised it doesn’t. I continue using it, without any problem. It’s far away the best and finest bronzer I ever used and even if it’s a little expensive, worth all the money. I’m using it since 2 years now. 😉

In privinta machiajului ochilor, m-am oprit la o singura paleta: Naked 1 de Urban Decay. Cele mai folosite farduri din ea sunt cele mate, Naked si Buck, dar imi plac foarte mult si Toasted si Hustle. Nu sunt prea multe de spus, se stie ca Urban Decay e top in pigmentare, gama de culori si rezistenta a fardurilor.

For eyeshadows, I stopped on just one palette: Naked 1 from Urban Decay. The most used were the matte Naked and Buck, but I also love Toasted and Hustle. There aren’t lot of things to say about, it’s known that Urban Decay is on top for pigmentation, range of colors and resistance.

Tot de la Urban Decay am ales si o pensula de ochi, cea cu doua capete, din fibre sintetice, la un capat pensula plata, iar la celalalt pensula de blending.

Also from Urban Decay I chose a brush for eyes, the duobled side syntethic brush; a flat C shape on one side and a blending brush on the other side. 

Mascara: In 2014 am descoperit ceea ce cautam de mult, adica un rimmel pentru volum si efect de gene false pentru niste amarate de gene rare, scurte si blonde ca si ale mele.  “Le volum mascara” de la Chanel face toata treaba in cateva miscari. O sa fac un review complet cu poze si un produs dupe accesibil tuturor. 😉

Mascara: In 2014 I found what I was searching for lot of time, a real volumising mascara that gives a false lash effect for my thiny, short and rare lashes. “Le volum mascara” from Chanel does all the job in a few moves. I’ll do a complete review with pictures and a dupe for all the budgets. 😉

Chiar daca am gasit rimmel-ul mult cautat, n-am renuntat la gene false pentru anumite machiaje. Cele mai folosite in 2014 au fost Ardell 109. Destul de naturale ca sa arate bine purtate si ziua, suficient de dese ca sa mareasca impactul oricarui machiaj de seara. Aplicate corect, sunt si confortabile la purtare spre deosebire de alte modele care au banda rigida si nu se pliaza pe forma ochilor.

Even if I found the best mascara, I didn’t stoped using false lashes. The most used ones were Ardell 109. Enough natural looking for a day use, quite full to enhance evening make ups. I can say are pretty comfortable to wear, comparing to others.

Pentru sprancene, produsul preferat ramane fardul-ceara The Bulletproof Brows de la Too Faced, despre care am scris un review complet AICI.

Desi fac reconstructie de gel pe unghie naturala de 7 luni incoace, in nuante pastelate sau nude, atunci cand ma plictisesc de ele, intind doua straturi de Diorific Vernis de la Dior, intr-o nuanta de rosu intens.

Even if I prefer gel-manicure in pastel or nude shades, when I get bored, I love 2 coats of Diorific Vernis from Dior, in the most intense red. 

In sfarsit cateva produse de buze: creionul contur “natural” nr 34 de la Chanel e o nuanta superba de nude, aproape pe terminate. Cand vine vorba de produse de buze e nebunie :))))) Oricum cele pe care le-am folosit foarte des in anul ce a trecut sunt: Gloss D’enfer nr 468 (“candy strip”) de la Guerlain, un roz magenta saturat si hidratant. Mai apoi, gloss-ul peachy-nude Levres Scintillantes de la Chanel, nr164 (“Plaisir”). Si ultimul, dar nu cel din urma, YSL Rouge Voluptè nr 1, numit Nude Beige sau Beige Charnel, mat si cremos. Combinatia dintre rujul asta si creionul contur e nuanta perfecta de nude care nu iti da aspectul acela spalacit. 2014 a fost anul buzelor nude in timpul zilei, am purtat burgundy doar seara sau la ocazii mai deosebite.

Finally, some lip products: the Lip Pencil nr. 34 “natural” from Chanel is a stunning nude, I’m almost finishing. When it’s about lips, it’s pure madness :)))) However, I love: Gloss D’enfer nr 468 (“candy strip”) from Guerlain, a magenta saturated pink. Then, a peachy-nude Levres Scintillantes gloss from Chanel, nr. 164 (“plaisir”). And last, but not least the beloved YSL Rouge Voluptè in shade 1, called Nude Beige or Beige Charnel, matte and creamy. The combo between this lipstick and the “natural” lip pencil is the perfect nude shade.  2014 was al about nude lips during the day. I only used burgundy for evenings out. 

Imi spuneti si voi macar un produs de care sunteti incantate si pe care l-ati folosit in 2014? 😉
