YSL Fusion Ink Foundation | Review & personal thoughts

Egaleaza perfect senzatia no-make up!

Costa aproximativ 40 euro si dupa parerea mea isi merita fiecare banut.

When we hunt a cosmetic or make up product, we claim to perform miracles or at least visibly improve the situation. Our claims (and mine) are even higher when it comes to foundation!

So today I decided to do a review as possible detailed and objective on the latest release from Yves Saint Laurent! It’s called Le Teint Encre of Peau or Fusion Ink  Foundation and is part of the new generation of foundations. Why …. New Generation? Because we are tired of foundations that give that horrible mask effect, feeling cakey and looking like a tone of clay, shortly after application! I say (I mean, I’m writing, white on black), honestly, that the latest release from YSL equals a no-make perfect sense up! : D Wearing comfort is guaranteed for the whole day thanks to hybrid technology, which offers a ultrafluida texture, soft, extremely easy to work on the skin.

I got a tester for this foundation in Sephora and I was super impressed with the first application. I’ve already tested other ones with a similar texture, super fluid and loose, but none satisfied me due to their low coverage.

Fusion Ink from YSL has a medium coverage and can be applied in several layers to get full cover without load skin at all. I applied only the foundation on cleaned and hydrated skin, avoiding the use of a primer, powder and corrector, to see its effect just as realistic as possible. It has a soft matte finish , perfect for those wanting a mattified complexion, but natural looking. At the time of application I did not felt the need to powder as it dries matte and gives the feeling that wouldn’t be neccessary to  powder. A few hours later, I noticed a slight sheen in the T zone. In place of concealer I used a kind of beauty blender sponge with which I’ve blended well under eye area a second layer of foundation. Honestly, I really like his effect and did not expect to succeed to cover so well the slight redness around the nose and dark circles. Uniforms and mattifies the complexion, keeping it light and fresh at the same time. I couldn’t ask for more! Although it has a SPF 18 it doesn’t reflect so bad in the flash pics.

I applied  it to the entire face with a duo fiber brush, using a circular motion from center to outer corner; its texture makes it very easy to work on the skin. It doesn’t marks fine expression lines or signs of dehydration of the skin. However, it is a foundation indicated for normal to combination and possibly oily skin. I do not know how could look or feel on a dry skin, but definitely, on me personally, it does not score fine lines around the eyes, where the skin is drier.

The packaging is a suggestive one: a semi-matte glass bottle with a gold top lid . The applicator- pen allows to place the product on the back of your hand or directly on the face. It’s a product that needs a good dose of agitation of the bottle, as the formula is silicone in water. You get 25 ml, unlike most of the foundations which have 30 ml. However, I think I won’t get to finish it in the 12 months since opening, preferably indicated for consuming the product. Due to its liquid consistency, small amounts are consumed in each application. It costs about 40 euros and in my opinion is worth every penny.

Less good points? I’m testing it about a month now and if I really should find a minus would be for having little perfume (very subtle) and alcohol in it …. I had no allergic reaction, although my skin is sensitive. I would also have liked to find in their range of colors a Beige 30 and seems very strange that they went directly from the Beige 20  to Beige Rose 30, without releasing a middle shade too. I’m using now Beige 20, which fits my natural shade.

I encourage you to ask a tester of this product to be convinced and let me know the impressions! I leave you with some pictures, from the way it looks immediately applied to some pictures taken with flash in the evening, after about 9 hours of wearing it, without primer, without concealer.

Super review Maria! Tine-o tot asa!
Te pup si te imbratisez cu drag 🙂
